DELPHI, now the state of the art?!

I'm surprised. Some weekes ago, nothing 'bout DELPHI was posted here.

Now, after I posted some "simple" sourcecode in DELPHI, 3 new threads comes up.

Why? Have you guys noticed that AutoIt and VB aren't as "strong" as DELPHI?

However, good decision!!! DELPHI is a nice language! Easy to learn, simple to use, free to have, and last but not least (very) powerfull.

Because my current DELPHI project stagnate a little bit, I'm looking for another challenge, maybe I'll developing more WoW-like things, or just help YOU DELPHI programmers out there!

    Greetings!

I think it's increase in popularity is because people are releasing code that works written in it. If someone puts a carrot in front of three doors the horse will probably go to the door with the carrot. They pick the language not because they know it, but because there are existing examples that are relevant to their intended use of the language. Can you elaborate what makes Delphi more powerful than Autoit or VB?

Well i was always a pascal programmer, not that i dont have a C++ knowledge
(i also know a little ASM) it would be more time consuming for me to write
a good program with those since im not used to them :P
Just dont use .net delphi (above Delphi 7)

Delphi is by far easier and nicer to the eye since you can understand
what someone is doing there with code faster cause the code looks
and actually IS cleaner. But c++ is portable and thats why its better
    in other ways.

AutoIt is good for some purposes but for serious job better forget it.
Also i always hated VB (for many reasons ;D)
The liver is evil! It must be punished!

Delphi hurts my eyes, plx plx plx stop coding in delphi the code looks awful ^^
c++ is a lot better, I wouldn't use c# because the .net framework sucks, yeah it's easier to code in c# than c++ but you'll have it alot more comfortable when you are dealing with pointers and inline asm by using c++
    I hacked 127.0.0.1
