Hi guys,
I'm not sure if will make it into 5.4, but in the 5.4 PTR if you have a 64bit computer you are forced to run the 64bit client.
Can anyone confirm this, and a more important note does anyone already know how to bypass this?
Thanks

Is there no wow.exe in your wow folder?
it'll always start the x64 wow binary. you have to rename the wow-64 bin, then the x86 will be started
Well renaming the exe works, but there has to be a cleaner way...
Well, they said they want to add that feature (to choose between 32 and 64 Bit) in a later update, see 64bit / 32bit - Forums - Battle.net
"Threads should always commit suicide - they should never be murdered" - DirectX SDK
it's already implemented, but doesn't work on ptr, so you have to rename the binary. on live client it works fine
last time I looked there was no option to choose between platforms. We are talking about the new Battle.Net Desktop Client, are we? The old WoW Launcher does have this option, yes.

I guess we are talking about the launcher since the battle.net client is beta^^
I was talking about Battle.Net Launcher, sorry for the confusion :P
I expect it to start rolling out when 5.4 hits retail realms...
Go to your WoW launcher and select options-> game preferences and then tick launch 32 bit client.
