Getting player's realm via the descriptors...

    Hello all,
I am probably missing something basic here so if anyone can point me at the right direction I would appreciate.

I am trying to get to the Players's realm string via the the descriptor CGPlayerData.homePlayerRealm

Is this going to return me an id for the Realm or a pointer to the actual string?

    Thanks a lot!

Can you take the same snap from inside a battleground? That would confirm it.

If you need the actual name of a player's realm, just check how the UnitName Lua API handles it (it retreives the player's name, as well as their server name).

Anyway the value in that descriptor is realm id. Realm name is stored in realmcache.wdb. You need realm id to lookup realm name. I've posted some info about this not that long ago: http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...ml#post2609859 ([WoW][5.1.0.16309] x86 Info Dump Thread). Or you can hardcode realmid<->realmname array...
