    [General] Question about radars

    Hi!
I've been lurking here for a while now and I've become amazed at what you can do with memory editing, so I decided to give it a shot myself. For testing purposes I was going to go with Guild Wars for now and then move on to WoW after I get some experience.

My question though, that I cannot seem to find an answer to by searching is, how do you manage to pull all the enemies in range and put them into a radar? Is it done by using BlackMagic? And if so, is BlackMagic only for WoW?

I have found quite a lot of static addresses in the last couple of days; X,Y,Z, Target Id, Speed etc. But I don't know how to use for instance the target Id to get the location of that enemy. Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks.

    • BlackMagic is not only for WoW, it's a general purpose memory library.

      Description from Shynd, the author
This is a class library to make process, thread, and memory manipulation a bit easier from a managed application. It takes care of most of the Win32 imports and a lot of the methods and tricks for you, making memory reading, writing, injection, execution, and DLL injection a snap, among a bit else. It uses ManagedFasm for JIT assembly, as well.
    • Information about any object near you, units included, can be read from the object list within WoW. Putting them to a radar isn't really related, that's just visual gloss (unless you count including minimap graphics).
    • Is it done using BlackMagic? Well, it could be.
    • By finding them, do you mean looking in the info dump thread?

You must not have searched very hard, because you missed quite a few threads which detail every point of your post, as well as the big ol' thread full of rules for this section.

Read the stickies, read the content in the Bookthread, learn a programming language, and search around using this.
