I haven't figured out how that compression works yet.
Some string references that may help:
Code:
LZ Compression saved %.2fMB of memory!
LZ Compressed '%s' to %.2f%% in %.3g second(s) - avg record size: %dbytes
TOM_RUS was once talking about in-memory compression of DBCs, anyone knows if there's any way to disable this compression without any side-effects (except memory which is unimportant) ?

Well considering the DBCs are stored in a compressed state, no. Unless you disable signature checks, edit the game files, and remove compression functions. But I don't know why you would ever need this since the DBCs are only ever decompressed once (barely any CPU power or additional RAM.)

For your future reference: ALL of the DBC files (xxxxx.dbc) were recently converted into .db2 with the new WDB4 format. You can read more about it on tomrus's github or by looking around in the client.

Map data is not in executables, you need the entire client installation for that.

Edit:. I'm also looking for the 13850 build with debug information in it. I'm looking forward to compare the two
