    Converting Mouse coords to WoW Coords

    I can't seem to get a grip on this. If you set your rotation to 0, and look directly North, your looking on the Y axis. So when you move forward, your Y mouse coord goes up. However, your Y WoW Coord does not go up. Your X WoW Coord goes up. So I'm the WoW Axis is lined differently then the map (Duh). But I just can' seem to see a relation between the WoW coords and the mouse coords other than the axis' are perpendicular (I'm not sure what to call it)

    WoW coords are rotated 90 degrees to the 'right' or 'east' direction.

    0 = W
    Pi/2 = N
    Pi = E
    3Pi/2 = S
    2Pi = W
    etc

    Mouse coords are 2D, WoW coords are 3D. You can't convert directly unless you're using one of the AoE circles that snaps to the terrain. If you do want to convert from 2D to 3D coords you have to do a bunch of math that will be fairly innacurate. The AoE circle is the way to go.

    Well the thing is, i'm trying to get a coordinate that is far away from the player, an Aoe circle might be a little hard to do, but I guess I could just make the character zoom out really really... really far and hope the aoe circle is still visible.

    AoE circles have infinite range. Visibility however ends somewhere in the 500 meter/yard w/e range.

    Yea the range is infinite, I know because when I was testing CTM you could feed it insane values and it would obey. Great while flying.

    The range of the circle unfortunately does not sync with render distance, though you could potentially hack it to increase the range.

    Set the AOE circleID to 0 and the mouse to 255 then you will get a normal mouse pointer the generates X Y and Z coordinates in real-time. I usually use the circle since its easier to see when you interact with objects but if you just need the coords its best to just turn the circle on and set the ID to 0.

    If you want the offsets just PM me.
