Making a WoW PvP Bot. How to get Player position in Battleground?

Hi i just started making a pixel bot using a tutorial i found here.
My goal is to have it automatically join Alterac and walk a predefined route to the enemy base.
I managed to get the joining part working.
The bot can record a path and the walk it back afterwards(this was implemented in the tutorial and works on the world map)
When i wanted to record the path for alterac i realized that C_Map.GetPlayerMapPosition(map, "player") always returns nil in battlegrounds.
This seems to be a counter measure from blizz against PvP bots.
So my question is if anybody knows a way to get the position or has a workaround.
Or at least start a discussion on how to navigate inside a battleground.

You can not get player/npc positions via lua+pixels in Dungeons and/or Battlegrounds. End of story.
There's more than enough info around here to get the positions externally or internally via memory.
