The current landscape of cheating in WoW
Short version: Many, many people are totally helpless when trying to figure out what's safe and what isn't, so I made a basic flow chart. Don't know if your software is safe? Follow the arrows!

Very nice The software I use (Chimpeon) falls in the orange box, bottom right !! I've been using it daily for a year now and no ban. Not even a whiff of one.

obviously the blue box is what everyone is seeking right now, due to honorbuddy banwaves becoming so frequent.

So how does one get into that blue box? Even if I were willing to spend a lot of money on a bot, I would know where to start looking.

Therein lies the rub I'm no fortune teller but I imagine there will be a shift in focus toward more private bots considering Blizzard's insatiable appetite for bans at the moment. People aren't going keep paying for biweekly bans unless they're selling currency on a large scale. Also, most developers who also play the game themselves are likely using a private bot. You could PM a few and ask them if they have something private, have any plans to sell slots, etc. or if they're willing to write something for you, although you should be aware that it most certainly will not be cheap.
tl;dr: wait for a while or go exploring.
