Question about botting on multiple accounts.

Pardon my noobishness but I have only botted once long ago, and received a permanent ban for it. My question is, if I wanted to get back into botting, but used a seperate account, would it safeguard my current account? I have far too much to lose by getting permanently banned on my main account, but I'm curious if there is a safe way to ensure those two accounts are not linked.

Are there any other tips you all would give for:
a) Seperating any traces of relation in the two accounts.
b) Preventative measures I can take in creating this second account.

Also, somewhat unrelated. Say I farm an extremely rare mount and want it on my main account, I never looked into this, but can I transfer a character to my main account from my secondary account IF it has that mount? Not sure if that's confusing, figured someone might know that as well.

If your botting account gets banned your main account will not, even if they are in the same name and using the same ip address. Blizzard do not ban ips, only battle.net accounts.

My tip is to set up a proxy ip address after one week of playing (there's one good guide and plenty of decently all around forums like this one, just use the search function). If you get banned you can easily claim that your account was hacked and the ban will be lifted (pm me for more info about that).

If both of your accounts are in the same name you can later move a character (with a rare mount/title) to your main account in mop where account wide mounts/titles are available.

Edit: (can't edit on my phone :s) if you got two accounts available for use you can set up your botting account on that one with a proxy (leaving your main account on your regular up address). You can also have your name on that account as your mothers/fathers, then you can change the name by claiming it was created in their name by mistake (requires an id scan).
