Hi,
I have recently become interested in botting and was wondering what are some basic steps to ensure that i dont get caught and banned. Im not looking for anything too serious just like the fishing bot and things. any suggestions are appreciated.
Hi,

fish botting can be spread over numerous chars and you should always find secluded spots as well. AND BY ALL MEANS do not FLood the ah or sell with the same char you are fishing with.. KEEP THEM OFF THE GRID!
so all i need to do is download mr. fish and thats it? nothing else to keep it undetectable
just want to make sure i dont load it and get instaban
I started fish botting--because it was free--but I now bot three accounts all the time and haven't been banned on any of them. It really is just how risky you're going to be with it. If you're going to farm Herbs and Ore you'll need to make sure you're letting the account run for a reasonable amount of time 12 hours is close to the danger zone. I'm not saying that if you don't bot as often that there isn't a risk, there is always a risk, however it does determine a raise in risk. As stated before don't bot out in the open, or in popular locations. If you're fishing A LOT of fish it's best to sell them to buyers. Try looking for a guild to sell to and then you can make some great money (Maybe more if you cook them too, it depends). Most of the time people get banned is from their own self-distructiveness. They get themsleves noticed by making it obvious that they bot.
TL;DR
1) Monitor the amount of time the account has botted (The longer, the more risk)
2) Avoid areas that are high pop (Less you're noticed the better)
3) "BY ALL MEANS do not FLood the ah" - KuRIoS (Sell some on the AH and the rest in trade, or supply someone)
4) Avoid anything that could get too much attention (Botting smart is botting safe)
I hope I helped a little bit. I'm still a bit new--less than six months of botting.
