Botting Through a Proxy

I know running bots has risk but I am looking to reduce them. A friend told me to use HotSpot Shield although I haven't tried it yet. I figured where better to ask for help than here. Do you use a proxy when you bot? If so which one?

Looking for one that is pretty much ad-free and will not slow down my internet.

Some of the people reading this must use a proxy while botting, any input would be nice.

My university has one proxy to block any online games and torrents.

Connecting to WoW through one proxy it's impossible, because WoW don't handle Proxies, so you need to tunnel through that proxy to be able to play.
Now, since I came to my university I only Bot on school, because even if I get caught, I can claim I got hacked or something like that.

Since Blizzard don't allow me to connect to their servers with normal ways, they'll need to trace from where you're boting and figure how to bypass our firewall (I guess), but I doubt they'll ever try to do that.

Also, from what I read, 75% of the bans that people actually get, it's from reports from another players.

So, I'm not an expert on this matter, but I gave my opinion and how I do my things.
Been botting for over a year straight, all days and not a single report/suspension.

Only reason you would use a proxy is to show a other IP is when you do get banned - you can phone them up and say that it wasn't you on the account.
