Homemade AH "bot" -- avoiding detection?

    Hi all,

I have made a couple of simple scripts to help me with my WoW economic activities -- mostly for AH selling; everything is homebaked, no bots. My question is, is it known if Blizzard looks for any pattern of activity to detect automation? If I randomize the lengths of time between different Auctioneer events taking place for example, how much will it help? Is there anything specific I should do or avoid doing (besides not doing it 24/7 and somesuch)? Does Blizzard check the macro contents on a given character for example?

Can anyone help me with some info, and/or point me to a place where such info may be found?

    Thanks in advance.

You can search for a /console setting that disables macro syncing to the server.
