WoW DB2 Editor
Hi All
Today I do represent WoW DB2 Editor WDB2XEditor and it's driven from WDBXEditor
Support Most of WoW DB2 Files Any Suggestion or Contribution or Modification to support All wow DB2 are Welcome
My Git as follow
GitHub - Abd-ulRahman/WDB2XEditor: Support Most of WoW DB2 Files Any Suggestion or Contribution or Modification to support All wow DB2 are Welcome
for your information any wrong use of this tool may corrupt your DB2 file
So it's mainly used on editing Existing data but not adding a new record for your safety I do suggest you do use my DB2 viewer you'll find it at the following link
GitHub - Abd-ulRahman/db2: DB2 Reader for World of Warcraft data files

I want to add spells and new items to DB2 I have yet to get my feet wet into it, and only recently starting learning about DB2 and Casc. What causes corruption when adding to DB2 files and is there a step by step process that lets you add to these without corrupting them?

For now as I told it's only working in modifying existing data
Huge files as item is not supported yet as it gives an error "Unknown compression 28"
As a work around by me some files are able to be modified by adding new records with out corrupting them also some needs to be displayed on Hex to modify them

This project is just a starting point and I do need your help as I'm not expert in programming

Hey,
first of all its nice to see someone continue Barncastle's WDBX-Editor :d
I used it in legion i think, couple of years ago.
I downloaded your latest version, the most recent definitions for the db2-files and tried to open a specific file (spellxspellvisual.db2). However even with the latest definition I couldnt get it to open:
See the following "Unknown compression 6" error
wdbxerror.png
Could you maybe explain what causes the unknown compression errors ?
