Thanks a millions for this post
After reading it, I decided to switch from Glider Elite to OpenBot.
I was exclusively using it for BG Farming.
First I have to say I've been positively surprised by how easy it was to setup. Glider Elite + Custom classes + Spartacus + SSPVP2 + finding an acceptable profile took me two days to get something decent running.
Thanks to the amazing guides by Kurios and Apoc, I got IS/OB/oBG to work in less than 20 minutes.
And the result is incredibly better. Even with the best profiles and custom classes, my Mage looked definitely bottish with glider. Sometimes running in circles, always taking the exact same path in the exact same order, very slow in casting. I received two "Fucning bot" whisps the first night using it.
on the contrary OpenBot seemed much much more "human", randomely patrolling, jumping over obstacles, spamming spells like crazy... (Even got in the top 5 dps in AB)
One thing is certain, I'll never go back to Glider. IS/OB/oBG is just awesome for BG botting. At least for AB. I have yet to try the others.
Gotta go, I have to give some rep to great people...
Nice guide m8t ty for it
Super Nice Job on the post it really helps out on the choices.
I personaly like glider (dont ask why)
Awesome guide man
whoa thxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I purchased MMOGlider less than 24 hours ago, witnessing mountains of praise being heaped upon it, and hundreds upon hundreds of publicly available profiles. It sounded easy and brilliant, compared to "big, scary OpenBot".
After an hour and a half of messing with the damn thing and watching the ridiculously artificial combat routines of Glider, I purchased an account from Lavishsoft and had OpenBot running inside of 30 minutes.
It's not difficult to configure at all, and the Mage routine I'm using seems to play the game better than I can.
Thanks for the post Kurios; it was a tremendous help.
interesting
Hey Kurios can you comment on the couple of people who mentioned that due to the injection it makes the detection easier? those comments are the only thing keeping me from getting openbot. Thanks!
Injection vs Non-injection is all up to the protection methods behind them.
Glider does not use injection, so it doesn't need the same type of protection.
IS uses injection, which is why ISXWarden is around to protect it.
Both are safe if used properly. (Glider happens to get more bans due to people being stupid while botting. Most likely not from software detection)
Non injection has some drawbacks and can be VERY limiting at times. But can also keep you from messing with other things you don't want to.
Injection usually doesn't have those limitations, and frees up a whole lot more to be done. But can mess things up if you screw up somewhere. (Wrong offset used to perform an action, etc)
Protection wise, they are just as safe depending on the methods to protect.
By track record, ISXWarden has a better record than Glider. (No offense Hamut/Merc, but it is true.) It may be attributed to the smaller user base however, so take that statement with a grain of salt.

just started monday with openbot / oBG grinded a rougue too lvl 25 and 50k honor on a priest. Very simple to set up and the openbot community is awsome. Thanks!+Rep
I dont know if I missed it or not but does it matter what OS you are using for Openbot? I know Glider doesnt run on 64 bit vista. Thanks.
OB works on any platform. Innerspace however, only works on windows. (Or wine, or other windows clones)
