Is anyone actually using this in WoW with the streaming method ?

Id love to hear your experiences with it.

There are of course people using Chimpeon with the streaming method and so far no reported bans when doing so. Admittedly, setup is slightly trickier and performance is not as good as if you were not using the streaming method, but considering Blizzard's hardcore approach to banning users of bots, etc, I think that is a fair trade off.

There are other solutions available that will likely perform better and claim to circumvent Blizzard's anti cheat measures but how long will that last and how $much$ are you willing to pay?

For simple and inexpensive automation that is about as safe as you're going to get, Chimpeon with the streaming method is a good choice.

Oh yeah, it works with Classic too and almost all Windows games!

hi,i need some help with wow fishing + streaming,the game cast the bait but it seems that i cannot get the right click mouse to work...sometimes it insta fish other times no fish at all,i configured chimpeon with the site guide even with the y axis set up but nothing :s

Have you followed the troubleshooting part of the guide? Chimpeon 101 - Configuring Chimpeon for Fishing

Most importantly the bit that says zoom in 100% (like an FPS).

yeah i followed the guide and i'm zoomed in like an FPS,i cast the bait everytime but i looted like 1 fish in 30min...

Keep moving your character to different places until you find a spot where it works the best. I used to fish in the open ocean and found it cast and caught successfully 9/10 times. Environment can affect casting and catching big time.

Is it possible, to automate things, with the Streamer 2 PC mode, from a Virtual Machine ?

For exemple :

On the main windows, play and launch wow classic, than simply stream to a VM, and from this VM send the keys / automation to the streamed wow from the main desktop ?

I only have 1 desktop..

I don't think a virtual machine will make any difference. It is the position of your character near or in the water that will affect cast and catch.

You can try streaming but in my own tests it was difficult to configure Chimpeon due to the mouse pointer being pushed out of the Window when trying to record a pixel. It should work for pre configured script like the fishing one.

The Splashtop window will need to be on top (focused) for Chimpeon to send keys to it. Mind you, try changing the Method for your Action and see if that allows the Splashtop window to be unfocused.

Did you use the remote streaming method (that is mentioned in numerous places) which is the way to prevent being detected and banned in WOW and WOW Classic? You likely didn't or if you did you were blatantly obvious about "botting" and got reported! Seems strange nobody else reports being banned using Chimpeon with the remote streaming method yet you are banned... Suspicious!

Despite several attempts:

Splashtop: No effect, commands are not sent, moreover, streaming and slow.
Teamviewer: Not designed for that, streaming and too pixelised.
Steam Streaming: it is PERFECT in all respects, only, when I change my window, steam plant, and crash. And I did not find why (it seems related to chimpeon)

Have you tried running Chimpeon as Administrator when using with Splashtop? Also, the Splashtop (or any stream window) must be focused (on top) before keys are sent to it by Chimpeon.

I have no idea why Steam would be crashing because it is not something I have experienced. Maybe another user on here has had the same experience and has a solution? Maybe ask on developer's Discord.
