    [Program] Profit Calculator for JC Vendoring

    Hey guys,

    I had a friend of mine make a little app for me to quickly and easily see how much profit I was making per JC creation & vendor. You may have guessed from the title of the App that he does not play WoW and thinks very little of the game :P

    Here's the thread if you don't know what method I'm talking about:

    http://www.mmowned.com/forums/wow-gu...lcrafting.html

    The app has 2 functions:

    1. Working out your profit based on - Dust Price : Gem Price ratio
    2. Working out your profit based on - EE Stack : Gem Stack ratio

    The app uses these formulas to work out the profit (colour coded):

    P = 3.14 - (D+G)

    P = Profit
    D = Dust Price (x2)*
    G = Gem Price

    P = 3.14 - ( 2[ {EES / 20} / 10 ] + [GS / 20] )

    P = Profit
    EES = Eternal Earth Stack Price
    GS = Gem Stack Price

    *Enter the dust price as dust price x 2.

    Ie: If each dust costs 50s, enter in the dust price as 1g. (As each piece of jewelery requires 2 dust)

    The app assumes that you have already worked out how much each dust is based on Dust Price = ((EE Price / 20) /10).

    ----------------------------------------

    Enough of the technical jargon, let's have a look at the app!

    Here is an example of the first function.

    Enter in the Dust Price* and the Gem Price and click Calculate.
    This particular function is helpful if you don't have full stacks of either material.

    Here is an example of the second function.
    Enter in the EE Stack Price and the Gem Price and click Calculate.
    This particular function is helpful if you do have full stacks of both materials.

    ----------------------------------------

    It is important to note that this app runs on .NET framework 4.
    Which is located here:

    Download details: Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Web Installer)

    If you don't have it installed this is all that you'll see when you run the app:

    ----------------------------------------

    The calculator lives here:

    Filebeam - Beam up that File Scottie!

    For what it's worth I also scanned it for the more paranoid of us:

    ----------------------------------------

    If there are any questions/suggestions/complaints please feel free to post them and I'll do my best to get to them all!

    Cheers!

    The installer takes like 5-10mins to run. It also tells you that you need to restart your PC - however I didn't and it ran fine for me.

    He accidentally compiled it in 4.0 and had deleted it all before I could get him to recompile it.

    Yes - that is the idea.

    This app calculates the profit per piece of jewelery.
