How to program a navigation system

Hi guys,

So I've started my own journey on making my own wow bot.
So far I made a pixelbot that can read all the values I need, and I am temporarily using pyautogui to make actions according to those values.

With a lot of research I've got a bit knowledge on how to build a navigation system using the A* Algorithm.
But I still find it super hard to understand exactly how to start.

So before I start making my own, I would like to hear you people on this forum, how you have made your navigation system or maybe if you could give me some tips or guides.
