A whole new world!

Hearthstone just dropped a BOMB on us with their most recent blog post. Some major changes will be coming to hearthstone including:

New Game Mode: Standard

• This new format includes Basic/Classic cards, and any cards released in the last 2 years only.

• It will also have its own ranked system!

Current format will be renamed "Wild"

• This is what we know today as just "Hearthstone" and will still have a ranked play

• You can get Legend in 2 modes now!

18 Deck slots!

• A new page of deck slots!

New Format and Expansion coming Spring 2016

• Formats have no effect on Arena, Adventures or solo play

• Standard Format will update with the first new expansion of the year

• Cards won't be labeled by format, but you'll see which format your deck is by the border

• You can challenge friends in either format

• Standard ranks are shown in the friends list

The first two sets to be removed are Goblins vs Gnomes and the Curse of Naxxramas adventure—that’s 153 collectible cards in total.

• Dr. Boom. Will be most missed in: Almost every deck

• Sludge Belcher. Will be most missed in: Midrange Paladin, Handlock, Control Warrior

• Death's Bite. Will be most missed in: Practically every Warrior deck

• Mad Scientist. Will be most missed in: Every Hunter, Mage, and some Paladin decks

• Loatheb. Will be most missed in: Midrange Hunter, Midrange Druid, Tempo Mage

• Piloted Shredder. Will be most missed in: Midrange Druid, Midrange Paladin, Midrange Hunter
