i did instances and borrowed 20 gold from a friend..
when i got 60, i had been doing AV for awhile and just got a battle ram as my epic mount.

Well, my way I got my mount is from killing the elementals in Arathi, the rock ones in the inner circle can drop rock salt and rocks which sell very well and if you find the charms you can usually find a warrior on the whirlwind quest and sell it to them for gold. Besides that I would just do copper runs around ironforge.

botted 1 day and got a crap load of deviate fish and sold them in AH for 18g a stack. Had my first mount in no time.

I found a guildee willing to lend me the money.. then paid him off with
Major Healing Potions


at 1g each it was well below server's ah value.. and I was able to hunt up the herbs in no time

Solo'd the non main bosses in Wailing Caverns with a Mage. I have no idea how many times I sold the BOE Gloves of the Fang in the AH. That and DE everything else. I am still really sick of that place and will now only run through it once with my other characters.

Fish Deviate Fish Cookem And Sell For Some Gold,Farm Heavy Leather and sell each stack around a gold hope ya get your mount : D
