    "A Priest In MC"

A Friend of mine wrote this after I put my "Warlock In MC" guide up.

    PRIMARY SPELLS

    FLASH HEAL
Flash Heal is simply the easiest heal to time, and is very useful in healing nearly every target in the raid. With a medium investment in +healing gear, flash heal can be all you need to deal with a trigger-happy caster or rogue.
    RENEW
In my opinion, renew is only slightly useful. Bascially, one Priest should be designated to keep renew up on the tank(s), especially during boss fights. Renew can also be used on lightly wounded raid members.
    GREATER HEAL
Greater Heal is basically useless, due to the fact that with several healers on a tank, it is extremely difficult to time the heal so that it is effective enough to be mana efficent. However, if you are confident, Greather Heal can be used on main tanks if you are the primary healer.
    POWER WORD: SHIELD
This spell is often underused in a raid, but can be very effective. The primary use of PW:S is to save the life of somone who's health is dropping at a very fast rate. I always shield the main tank before a boss fight, and then take a quick drink to restore the mana lost from casting the spell before the fight begins.
    FADE
Unless you have aggro problems, fade isn't used much in raids, but it can save your life in a sticky situation. The easiest way to se fade is to download CTraid, and enable "Sound on Aggro gain." In time, it will be second nature to hit fade when you hear the Aggro Gain bell sound.
There ya go. Master these 5 simple abilities and you can be a successful healer.

    MC BOSS FIGHTS

    LUCIFRON

Before the fight, buff everyone with shadow protection to protect against Lucifron's curse. The fight starts with killing Lucifron's adds, which happens very quickly. The key to the fight is to DISPEL. Make sure you are dispelling everything, especially mind control (unless you are healing the main tank). It is best to heal the main tank in a rotation. Have every Priest who is not healing the main tank dispelling until their turn.

    MAGMADAR

A very easy fight, as long as you watch your feet. Have about 3 Priests on the main tank, and have everyone else spot heal raid members, especially Hunters. Make sure to use Will of the Forsaken if you are feared and are an Undead Priest. Since fear is a shadow spell, the main tank should have Shadow Protection, if not the whole raid. Oh, and make sure you don't walk into the fire.

    GEHENNAS

First off, buff everony with Shadow Protection, since Gehennas will do random Shadowbolts for 2k, which are not based on aggro. Keep the tanks for Gehennas' adds alive as they are burned down, and remeber not to waste mana healing those who have the -75% healing curse. Gehennas will also do an AoE Rain of Fire, which can be easily avoided, as long as you don't run into the mobs behind you.

    GARR

Buffs are not important on this fight, since Garr will simply dispel them all. There will be several tanks on the un-banished Firesworn adds, and you will most likely be assigned to one. This is a good fight to use Greater Heal, since you are most likely one of the few, if not only, healers on each tank, and Garr and his adds don't hit for as much as other bosses. Watch out for Warlocks too, if they die there will be a loose add around.

    BARON GEDDON

An easy fight, if you aren't healing the main tank then dispel Geddon's ignite mana debuff. If you use decursive, healers and casters will automatically be dispelled first. If you are the bomb, run to the side so you don't kill anyone. If you have a light feather, cast levitate if you explode and rise into the air, so you don't take falling damage. Also, toss a shield on whoever becomes the bomb to ensure their survival.

    SHAZZRAH

Another easy fight, keep the main tank alive and dispel Shazzrah when he casts Deaden Magic on himself. The raid is usually fragmented into 2-3 groups, as Shazzrah will randomly teleport to grouped up players and use an AoE Arcane Explosion. If he comes near you, simply run away and let the main tank regain aggro.

    SULFURION HARBRINGER

A trickier fight, make sure to buff the raid with Shadow Protection to protect against Sulfurion's Shadow Word:Pain. You will probaly be assigned to a tank, so make sure to keep him up, and dispell the boss' 2 DOT's.

    GOLEMAGG THE INCINERATOR

The most fun MC boss fight for Priest in my opinion. There are 3 tanks for this fight. The main tank will be on Golemagg himself, while the other 2 will be on his 2 dogs. Remember, only Golemagg has to die for the fight to end. If you are assigned to a secondary tank, then the fight is all about endurance. Keep him alive with Flash Heal and Renew, with Greater Heal if you are feeling confident. Usually there will be only a few healers on each tank, so this is the fight where Priests really shine. Equip your PVP trinket so you can keep healing if you are stunned by Golemagg's random Pyroblast.

    MAJORDOMO EXECUTUS

Same strategy as Sulfurion, keep the main tank and off tanks alive as the raid kills domo's adds. If you get teleported into the lava stage, simply walk out. Keep your finger on fade incase a sheep gets loose and aggros you.

    RAGNAROS

You will be assigned to heal 1 of the 2 tanks on Ragnaros, and will be placed near who you are healing. In the first part of the fight, keep your tank up. When sons of ragnaros spawn, keep up their tanks and any DPS class that over-aggros, since they have to go down fast. Fire resist is your friend, and make sure you bring at least one fire protection potion.

    OTHER BOSS FIGHTS

    ONYXIA

As you approach Onyixa, make sure you stand clear of the Warder's AOE fire attack. Equip all of your fire resist gear, grab some fire protection potions, and buff up to the max! When the raid is ready, Onyxia's 1 tank will charge ahead of the group, make sure he has a shield on him, but let Shaman and Druid's nature swiftness do the healing as you get into position against one of the walls. Make sure you don't get too close to the whelp pits as you approach your position. The first thing I do on Onyxia, as an undead Priest, is to cast Touch of Weakness, walk up to her, and thwap her nice and hard, since the spell reduces damage on the main tank. Make sure you stand PARRALEL to Onyxia, so you are not hit be either her fire breath or tail. When Whelps spawn, keep AoE'ers up as they are dispatched. As soon as phase 2 starts, run a little bit downwards, and cast SW:P and Devouring Plague (if you have it). Make sure both DOT's are on her for the duration of Phase 2. If Onyxia deep breaths, drink your fire protection potion and run to the edge of the lair. Let other classes bandage the lightly wounded, but spot heal anyone near death, and keep the main tank alive. When phase 3 starts, drink your fire protection potion and run back to your first position. Onyxia will start AoE fears, and lava will rise through the cracks on the floor. With Will of the Forsaken, Undead Shadow Resist racial, Unbreakable Will, and shadow resist from the Prophecy set / Benediction, I find that I resist or block about 50% of her fears, which gives you a great chance to heal the main tank while everyone else is running around. Mana/sec gear is great on this fight, so stock up on mana oil.
