Linux + Wine: is it a potential layer of protection?

As the title says.. is running a game like WoW or Diablo in Wine / Linux a potentially good layer of anti-detection while running a bot that I am writing? Does Wine act as a contained box, sort of like a VM, and Warden wouldn't be able to sniff beyond into what Linux is doing?

I know nothing about how to evade Blizzard's warden, and it seems hard to find information regarding that. I once wrote a script to simply log me into a private server in AutoIT and was immediately banned from it, lol.

Thanks a lot for any enlightenment you can provide, and I look forward to an educational discussion.

It does offer certain benefits yes, especially if you're happy to only read memory and send inputs.
In general, any game with a windows-based anti-cheat that lets you run it in wine without giving you a hard time will be a good canditate.
I run both my personal WoW and PoE bot projects this way without any problems the past years, though I will warn you that player reports and server heuristics are still very much a real thing.

For the actual memory reading I would suggest the process_vm_readv syscall, rather than any of the older methods, it's both quicker and works better, without disturbing the process it reads from.
