New Section: Beggers Town

Everyone is tired of getting spammed by the annoying begging posts and PMs and whatnot.
So i suggest a new section dedicated only for begging. Anyone who wants to ask for an account should post it there, and if anyone would want to bother could read them and maybe even reply to one!

A good idea, in theory, but do you honestly expect it to work?

I can see it turning into more of a flame area (i.e. f*ckin contribute, you nub) than anyone actually giving out free accounts/stuff.

well the goal would be to only reply if you had an account to give, and to clear up the forums (where you would usually flame)

True, and I admire your idea, however, say for example you actually HAD an account you wanted to give away. Now, given that 95% of the MMOwned leechers would post in that section asking for an account and giving some sob story, how would you pick which one thread to give it to?

Not to mention I think that MAYBE 1 thread out of 30 or so would actually get a reply.

Also, could you imagine the useless bumps in that area?

I love the idea of sharing free accounts. I like it when a member gives out a free account to the MMOwned general populus. Don't get me wrong, I am a full supporter of giving back to the community. However, I do think that a section like this would do nothing but giving a place where people can flame others for 'not contributing' and the occasional free stuff.

I think the last thing we want to do is give the leechers and nublets their own special place to spam for stuff

I disagree..let them all get into one place..and then...BAM! MASS BAN!!

lol conflag... tbh i don't think this is such a great idea, because it is pretty much promoting begging. With a section devoted to it, that'd most likely bring across the idea that you should be begging for accounts and making more threads.

when i saw the "MASS BAN" all i could think of was: Auschwitz

Loveshock the whole point of the section was to free up all the others, while letting the leechers a place to beg. Think of it as a relocation of all the beggers. and from time to time, someone could give someone an account

I personally flame the guys for posting that in the wrong section, ive seen posts right after some simple yet efficient scams. (Hopefully) the flaming and the spamming would stop with this section

We already have rules for our forums (Example: [NO QUESTIONS HERE] in scam section) and people still break them all the time. Don't get me wrong, it does sound like a nice idea, but in reality, it will more than likely just make the begging problem worse. "Oh well, I'm making this begging thread in the wrong forum. No worries, a mod can just move it later" <- We'd be getting a lot of that.
