    Thanks, I'll try this one out, since nothing else seems to work for me! +rep.

    Just have one problem though. When all installation is done, and I try to run the .exe's it says that it's unable to connect to database.. -_- Know what kind of problem it might be? 2.1.3 mangos worked with no problem, but this one dont..

    Sorry for the delay in replying...but yeah its working as smooth as it could be for 2.3.3 Its probably the most stable server setup ive used via any other emu. I can help as much as i can to anyone needing info to set this up..but the site i linked at can generally cure any questions ^^

    Make sure your maps n vmaps are in same folder as mangos and change data dir in mangos.conf to ""
    and make sure to enable vmap.enablelos=1 vmap.heightenable=1

    Bellos, try remaking your maps and vmaps AND then doing what Dead420 says if it still doesn't work after you changed your:

    DataDir = "."
    vmap.enableLOS = 1
    vmap.enableHeight = 1

    I believe you have to put a "." for DataDir = "." if your files are in the same directory. Anyway, the DataDir has to point to wherever you're storing your vmaps/map/dbc(they have to be together) files. e.g. DataDir = "C:\Program Files\myserver"

    If you want, you can leave

    vmap.enableLOS = 0
    vmap.enableHeight = 0

    to disable the need for vmaps. However, if you do that, missiles fired in game can pass through terrain.

    Try both these methods:

    Extracting map files
    • Create a subdirectory called 'maps'. ("C:\World of Warcraft\maps")(default)
    • Launch ad.exe. This will begin the extraction of map files. (This can take a long time depending on your system.)
    • When ad.exe has finished, copy the folder "C:\World of Warcraft\maps" and re-place it in your Reaper ManGOS server directory ("C:\Reaper MaNGOS"). So you should now have a "C:\MaNGOS\maps" directory containing numerous (3400+) .map files.
    • You may now safely delete the directory "C:\World of Warcraft\maps".
    Extract *.dbc files
    • Create a directory for your .dbc files in the Reaper Mangos server directory. ("C:\Reaper Mangos\dbc") and delete the old dbc folder.
    • Open up your dos command window. (Start->Run, type "cmd" then enter.) Change your directory to "C:\World of Warcraft\data\enUS". (type cd "C:\World of Warcraft\data\enUS") if you installed in a different harddrive, then type "D:" or whatever drive you installed WoW in when you enter command propmt as the default will always be starting from "C:".
    • Type in the following in dos-prompt: "mpqe /p locale-enUS.MPQ DBFilesClient\*.dbc"
    • mpqe.exe will now extract the dbc files to a new directory in your client's data\lang directory called "C:\World of Warcraft\data\enUS\MPQOUT\DBFilesClient". You should see it reference three files: "patch-enUS-2.MPQ", "patch-enUS.MPQ", and "locale-enUS.MPQ".
    • When mpqe has completed, copy the content all of the .dbc files from the output directory listed in the previous step to your server's dbc directory. ("C:\Reaper MaNGOS\dbc") You should have 176 .dbc files. You may now delete the client output directory ("C:\World of Warcraft\data\MPQOUT") if you wish.

    So now that you've extracted a new batch of maps and dbc files, run your server again with:

    DataDir="."
    vmap.enableLOS = 0
    vmap.enableHeight = 0

    And make sure your mangosd.conf and mangosd.exe file is in the same folder as your maps & dbc folders. Cross your fingers and hope it works.

    Cheers.

    This should be able to help you. Stop using hamachi, its a virtual-IP broadcasting program that may get server ports confused, especially if you're hiding behind a router.
