    Terrain / sigfile editing

I have edited an old version of noggit so that I can edit the terrain height (haven't fixed other things such as changing textures yet), save the file back into the MPQ, and update the signature file.

I have also coded a loader that allows me to load WoW with the edited signaturefile. The end result is that I can easily edit the terrain without having to mess around with patch mpqs (do they even work still?).

I have not tried this out on a live server yet, so I don't know if it is useful for that.

I can create a program that will let you place edited files into the MPQs and load them in WoW if that would be useful.

    Sorry! Please delete this thread.
I've decided not to release it because it works on live and I feel that it is too much of an exploit to release publicly.

Yeah, basically. Although texture editing doesn't work and only some models can be moved atm. But you can edit the terrain height and move some trees and fences and stuff. Then load it up on a live server.

Here's a screenshot of some water and a bit of edited land. The water occasionally looks a bit buggy.

it's not like we don't have a version of noggit for 2.3 already..even though the idiots managed to really screw up the water shader in Ewos..
