    The "friend told me" scam..

    Hi there people..

    I made this scam on my own, and I was just bored like hell.. (Don’t think it exists – since I haven’t seen anything like this)

    Okay, here’s the deal.

    • Go make an alt with a casual name, I like the name Cuergo (from priate-scam)
    • /who 50-54 <- This target group have loads of gold, and do not know that much about world of warcraft.. >WRITE THEM DOWN IRL<
    • Go buy something and wrap it in. I suggest http://www.thottbot.com/?i=52 and http://www.thottbot.com/?i=54132

    • Make a text to your “victim”. I used this text;

    Subject: Friend told me…

    Text:

    Hi there..

    One of my mates (think he is one of yours also ;D his name is $FAKE NAME$) told me that you might wanted to earn a little g, why heading to the 60’ies! Anyways, send me a mail in game to hear further..

    Cheers
    $YOUR NAME$

    • Take your name list and start writing in the names, paste the text, remember the subject and COD for 15g.

    - This worked for me, I had around 20% success rate.
    - MY FRIEND also tried it without my help (after I told him how), he also got around 20% success rate!!

    - Okay, I’m going to quote blizzard (EU SCAM POLICY) now:
    “We do not want to encourage players to use this kind of roleplay in-game scam but we consider them as part of the game mechanics. So we will not take actions in those cases …”

    Why this shouldn’t be banable:
      • You are not promising anything.
      • You did COD a gift for 15g, that is correct. But you did not say that was anything in it.
      • You offer your help – NOT AN PAYMENT SERVICE – but as a friend of a friend…

    Anyway, good luck!
    - Wagstorm

    9. Participate in any action that, in the sole and absolute opinion of Blizzard, results or may result in an authorized user of the Program being "scammed" or defrauded out of gold, weapons, armor, or any other items that user has earned through authorized game play in the Program;

    If Blizzard thinks it's a scam, it's a scam, and you get in trouble. Their is no "Oh but we didn't do this so we can't get banned" if Blizzard thinks you scammed him, you did, deal with it.

    ------------------

    7. Blizzard’s Absolute Right to Suspend, Terminate and/or Delete the Account.

    BLIZZARD MAY SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE THE ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME WITH ANY REASON OR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE. For purposes of explanation and not limitation, most account suspensions, terminations and/or deletions are the result of violations of this Terms of Use or the EULA.

    If they don't think you scammed, but want to give you consequences anyway, well they can. Another thing that you're going to have to deal with, and they don't care what you think, because they had the rights to do it.

    That's the funny part.. They have to be idiots to accept it, and 20% accept it.. No big deal about it..

    Just do this on as many as you can. Most won't accept it but if 2 out of 10 do thats still money for almost nothing
