    Delete your Own Thread.

Lately I have seen a few people, when they realize that there post was bad, say "Mods please delete!" Well... You dont have to! You can delete your own thread by clicking Edit Post -> Delete Post (then check the circle that says "Delete message?") Sorry for posting this, I just think that if everyone did this it may make some people lives easier

    Re: Delete your Own Thread.

There is a button called "THREAD TOOLS" that will allow you to delete your post... Now why don't you delete this one?

    Re: Delete your Own Thread.

It's deleting your post, and if you delete the original post of a thread you created (meaning your post) it will get rid of the whole thing. I've done it before, dunno why you're having problems with it Eli.
My screenshot thread is inactive until further notice.

    Re: Delete your Own Thread.

The reason this goes away is because someone posts under you and you don't have sufficient privileges to delete other people posts..

So there isn't anything you can do about it.

Normally people respond and tell you it is wrong. After that you cant delete it.

    Re: Delete your Own Thread.

Well i can see why people might want to delete their threads to hide all the flaming they get and maybe comments about them. But you must keep in mind, even if your info you posted is wrong and people correct you, you are still being a help to someone or another, maybe someone was looking for the information, saw your thread, read it then saw it was wrong, but kept reading and found their answer.

True if they do rep for it they will probably rep the person who made the reply that helped them. But in my opinion you still helped someone one way or another.

However, you do get the times when your internet messes up and something goes wrong (e.g. i live in south africa, i post something.. it needs correcting but each time i try edit i lag out, 3rd world country ftl) anyway, how about making a button that you can request the thread of yours to be deleted, then an admin or mod checks it out, checks your reason and so on and so fourth and then makes a decision to delete/move/leave the thread.

there is lol ... check more

when you press edit there should be a delete function... (try advanced edit also maybe....)

EDIT: when you press edit there should be a delete button next to go advanced...
you see buttons like this: "save" "go advanced" "delete" "cancel"

    grtz
