Hello, its Flo! I have run many servers and yes it did take me a while to set up but i did run into problems i now found out that many peaple are running into so i am taking my time to post most common problems.

UNABLE TO VALIDATE GAME VERSION - okay to fix this problem you need to go into Logonserver.conf and edit part on bottom
<Client MinBuild = "6739"
MaxBuild = "6739">
to
<Client MinBuild = "6739"
MaxBuild = "9000">

WALLA should be fixed

UNABLE TO CONNECT - okay to fix this problem you need to either forward ports or block off firewall. to do this find Firewall and turn it off <pretty simple> Next is ports a little bit harder. Remember if you dont get this there are many guides out there for making PS public
To get to you router you ususally type 192.168.0.1
Forward these ports
3724
8093
8129
3306
80

You dont need to forward any others unless needed.

If this doesnt fix you problem i highly suggest on using Hamachi.

WHEN YOU MAKE A CHARACTER NOTHING APPEARS - To fix this problem all you need to do is a query. If you dont know how shame on you...

To do a query using SQLyog you need to insert the following code into the box on top right side and right click and go to execute all querys. For Navicat There is a option for query at the top. Its pretty easy.

SAYS ASCENT DUMP IN ASCENT.EXE - I suggest finding a repack if you dont know how to compile your own stuff then you dont need to worry about this error.

Just comment the thing after it, pretty simple remember to get the one half way down and the one at bottom.

how about the critical error bullshit alot of us are getting when we follow a tut, and get the pack working, but when loading a character, boom, critical error.

The critical error thing will be this way until a less-bugged 2.3.0 repack comes out.Some servers have compiled their own repack and you are currently able to play on them. The only suggestion I could say is, if you don't want to wait, or own your own server, just downgrade patches

i try to power up my server but when i click on ascent 3 to load it keeps saying Connecting to logon server then it says failed. My logon server wont properly load up and ascent 3 doesnt work Any help?

I disconnect from the server many times. When another player is charging me, I get disconnected, when Ragnaros blows me away, I disconnect etc.
Is it any way to fix this?

when i go to enter at Burning Crusade content spawn message saying you need the Burning Crusade Expansion installed. I have installed offcurse. The problems is hoow to put permissions of TBC to every char. Thanks.

Hildegard got a solution for you, where u made your account in SQL go to the right where it says flags and change it to an 8. thats should work. it helped me and ty sadgonewild for solution

I have a very annoying list with things i want to fix, so someone know how to fix this? maybe a link to a thread that explains some bugg-fixes like these? im using ascent repack 7.1

#Learning mortal strike rank 2 is not possible.

#npcs in silvermoon city seems to be gone (i know its just to spawn them, but hey.. how can i find a list with npc names and where they are supposed to spawn? hmmmmmm....)

#Can't fix so the server accepts connections from clients 2.3!? i know.. change the client thing to 9999 and minimum thing to 1 or minimun to 1 and maximun to 9000 but that doesnt work either!)

#How can i spawn the NPCs that are supposed to spawn on GM island? (i know.. "Search for threads that explains how to make npcs... i know i know.. but cmon i had to ask this also..)

#Fearing an stealthed rogue or druid makes them stay in stealth? wtf :P

I thought this would be the best server?(ascent) and i have repack 7.1? the latest?... i mean hmm.. this seem to be quite much things bugged for an 7.1 version? well i cant complain more than that.. it seems to be very stable.. really.


Would be cool if some nice people answers my things here, im not that skilled in fixing in DBs and stuff, ive just figured out that navicat can open accounts! WOW!

how do you get bc activated on server it says you must have bc to go there is there some option in accounts you have to modify?

i have setup a private server with the chrispee repack but i dont kno how to make characters, i go to mysql sqlyog and connect to 127.0.0.1 with root username and my mysql password and i do refresh object browser to accounts and ascent and nothing happens...how do i create accounts??

okay i fixed my last problem but now i use the account i made and it does everything except it gets stucck on Sucsess! then i click cancel and it gets stuck on retrieving Realm list, i got back to the ascent and logonserver.exe programs running but it doesnt say any problems so i dont now how to fix it... i made it public so if u can help join Deathtrick's Realm with pass 123 on hamachi and if u can help me fix it ill make u a GM too maybe admin plz help,

i get this error when i start up logonserver.exe and same with antrix or ascent it says somthing about click ok to terminate but i had a server on my computer before but for some reason it wont let me clikc th logonserver.exe and ascent/antrix.exe it pops up that error pease help
