Grey items.. What do they mean?

Okay, after searching for what seems like forever, I can't figure out why items are grey, it doesn't bother me at all.. Do they mean they are useless and you should sell/salvage them?

There are grey, outdated items that were something but are not anymore. and White items, which can be considered grey.

I'm sorry, but I'm not 100% what you mean when you say they are outdated? Look at my screenshot: Screenshot by Lightshot

So why is everything except two items grayed out?

If i'm correct, they don't meet the requirement for Keep. Thus they are grey.
Only those that meet requirement in pickit will be shown as normal (non-grey).
Grey means just sell/salvage like you already guessed.
Read the pickit_readme.txt file in the config folder and you will understand.

Okay, that makes sense now. Thank you for the clarification.
