Easy way to make ascent server and making it public :D

ok first you have to download a repack .. 2dgreedgiants repack is good u can download it from here :P

ok install it somewhere ... NOTE for this repack u need to install it in C: if u don't install it there it won't work

ok after u installed it u have a choise choise 1:leave it a private server or 2:make it public

choise 1: if u whant it to stay a private server where only YOU play on it then u only have to go to your WoW server enter realmlist file with notepad delete all what is in it and type : set realmlist 127.0.0.1. Then open MySQL 1st Logon 2nd and Ascent 3d (they are in the repack folder )
and u have the private server

choise 2: ok this is kinda longer go to DynDNS -- Dynamic DNS, E-Mail Delivery and Other Services and make an account (it si free) then log in. You'll see a yellow bar with many options,selet the Services option and select the globe that says Dynamic DNS after that click Get Started. ok at hostname type a random name like Phirotic's-WoW-Server.game-server.cc (that is what I typed ) ok now check the Wildcart box and at the IP adress click the use auto detected IP adress .... bellow after u'r done with that click on create host ... ok don't close the page after that u'll need it.
now go to start click run and type C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc\ it should open a folder ... open the file called HOST with notepad and do like so:

127.0.0.1 (the host name from dyndns.com)
Internal IP (the host name from dyndns.com)
External IP (the host name from dyndns.com)

for getting the Internal ip start run type cmd then ipconfig the numbers from IP adress should be ur internal IP (myne starts with 82.***.***.***)

for external IP go to whatismyip.com and u'll see it .

ok now go to your repack folder ... enter ascent server and then open realmlist.conf with notepad and modify like shown:

<LogonServer Address = "127.0.0.1" <---- replace localhost with that


RealmCount = "2"> <----- replace 1 with 2 ... they should be 2


<Realm1 Name = "Server name"
Address = "Internal IP:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Colour = "1"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

<Realm2 Name = "Server name-Local"
Address = "external IP:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Colour = "1"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

and now open logonserver.conf with notepad and replace :
<LogonDatabase Hostname = "127.0.0.1" <------ replace localhost with 127.0.0.1

now go to WoW folder and open realmlist with notepad,erase all, and type: set realmlist (your external or internal IP)

for other players to log in your server they must go to they'r wow folder open realmlist with notepad , erase all and type : set realmlist (your EXTERNAL IP)

and now congratz u got ur own WoW server :P

2 bad I can't show a img... ok I'll have to show u... it may happen like in my situation ... if u have external and internal IP exactly the same then u must do this:

type in the host file :

127.0.0.1 (host name from dyndns.com)
your IP (host name from dyndns.com)
your IP (host name from dyndns.com)

and in your realmlist file:

<realm1 Name= "server name"
Adress= "(your IP) : 8129
Icon= "PvP"
Colour= "1"
Population= "1.0"
TimeZone= "1"

<realm2 Name= "server name-Local"
Adress= "(your IP) : 8129
Icon= "PvP"
Colour= "1"
Population= "1.0"
TimeZone= "1"

now it should work :P

I put here every steps that I followed but maybe it doesn't work for some of you beacose ur using the wrong repack >.< try going on Panex Gaming - Home and download the repack and then follow the guide ( panex repack si what I use >.<) and It is kinda like a repost beacose I followed 2 guides so ... Aight got the server running correctly all boots up fine with no errors!

But the problem now is when i try logging in, i get an error message saying
"Unable to validate game version"
I had my friend try setting it up also, and he had the same problem.
Not sure if it has anything to do with my version of wow being TBC 2.3.0 latest patch?
Anyone know anything that may help please let me know.
And sorry for saying the writeup was gibberish it wasnt it was just me not understanding lol
