Win10 Redstone 2 NO Aero

Yesterday, Microsoft released the official version of the Win10 Redstone 2 IOS(1073)
It seems unable to support AERO, no transparency, black circle
KJ do you have any plans for fixed transparency?
Microsoft will be officially launched in April 11th, the new win10, if not fixed, all win10 players will have this problem

Just adding my voice to this. Same issues since the last windows update. doing a bit of a deeper dive to see if I can find a solution, will post back if i do. Otherwise just a heads up, once this update rolls out to more people, THUD will have issues for them too.

I tried everything you can imagine to remedy the situation. It's a core issue with Windows and the overlay itself, I firmly believe THD will need to be re-written to address the issue, there is nothing we (as users) can do.

IIRC, the last Win10 update that came out did the same thing (or very similar.)

So here is a temp fix that worked for me.

first up, you are responsible for your own shit. if this is scary to you, and losing data might cause you to be mad, dont do it. entirely on your own.

It took about 8 minutes on my system.

Go to settings, recovery and there is an option to go back to the last version of windows. run through that, making the sane choices and it will do some stuff, reboot, do some more stuff, reboot and you will be back to windows before the Creators update ****ed it.

That at least gets you working while KJ and others work out how to fix this. It will need to be fixed, i dont think you can defer the upgrade for ever, however if like me, playing D3 without THUD is like playing without one of your senses and makes the game really shitty, this works for now.

Well here is the deal guys KJ probably doesnt have the update to even test against.

You can put in a work around until there IS a real solution, or you can play without THUD.

also it's not a reload of windows or a reinstall, it simply rolls back the patch. You can then apply the patch later when it's been fixed.
