    [Question] Texture bug with transparency!

Okay I'm working on my http://www.mmowned.com/forums/model-...ift-skins.html , and I would very much like for some help on the Catform. Currently, I've done two alternatives; a Worgen and a reskinned Cheetah model. However the reason I've restricted myself to those is because I've encountered a texture-bug/problem that I can't solve.

    Here's some screenshots:

The problem that I'm having is being able to save the alpha-channels in a correct way it seems. I save it like this:

Make the skin > Make sure there's a alpha-channel in the Channels tab in PS CS3 > Save as .PNG > Convert it with BLPConverter > Insert it with MWCS10 > View in WoWModelviewer, and it's just ****ed.

I tried it long ago to make something out of those models, but when I touched the mane areas (or in the case of Tauren Catform, the fur sticking just near his butt -_-, among other things), it would turn totally white beneath. This is a mystery to me, however it seems as if http://www.mmowned.com/forums/showof...ruid-pack.html (Ninjaweasel) have managed to make it work, however he's been inactive for a while so I doubt he's gonna reply any time soon...

Any answers on this irritating issue?

don't use .png, it has horrible alpha support in my opinion i use .tga, look on Google or something for the converter.

PNGs are actually really the best files for graphics. On the web. :P As he said: tga. Its still better for textures. And here is the converter: RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

    Wot!
Thanks! Gonna make something fun of this for sure!
Now I can try on Moonkin aswell if this works as it should (for starters).

Might aswell ask this while the thread lives; if I decide to change so Catform has one patch, Dire bear has one patch, and so on, slow the performance when loading the game in general?
I mean does more patches make it worse for performance?
