For a normal playing rogue this isn't very good, but for botting it is good.
(Bot is made for sword spec.)

With that spec you'll get the "max" dmg out of normal white hits, ss and eviscerate (took it as finisher for botting.)

You should start with improves Sinister Strike and after that put the 5 in Malice.
After that, I suggest you to build all in combat and maximize it to bladefury, then finish Assassination and after assassination finish combat.

You can also try to first complete combat total, or first complete assassination, it's your choice.

If you won't use swords, tell me. I'll change the spec if needed.

    Re: Botting rogue spec?

Sword/Mace Combat/Assassination is usually considered to be the best build for leveling because of its superior sustained damage and non-reliance on positional attacks.

Here's a sample talent tree progression for a build like this:

Level 20: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft - Riposte
Level 30: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft - Blade Flurry
Level 40: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft - Adrenaline Rush
Level 50: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft - Combat Potency/Surprise Attacks
Level 61: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft - Relentless Strikes
Level 70: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft - Lethality

    Re: Botting rogue spec?

Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

I basically improved Remah s build.

    Arguments:

Remorseless attacks: are useless, as a bot you'll either spend the time looting, eating or moving to next mob, or all of it, and the time will expire, after killing a mob.

Riposte: Useless, I've seen no Glider custom class make use of it, and gives no combo points. Neat damage though.. and I don't know about innerspace, other bots.

5/5 lightning reflexes: I chose this: The more you stack a stat, the more powerful it becomes obviously. Having max dodge really helps against mobs.

Nerves of steel: Useless for botting, stun/fear effects? No..

Weapon expertice: I chose this: Weapon expertice was buffed lately, increasing chance to hit/crit and damage dealt (I think.)

Endurance: If your bot uses evasion, boosting evasions cooldown to 3.5min can only help you survive more.

I complete assassination first, 2/2 imp sinister first though. It really boosts the survivability and energy gain.

    Re: Botting rogue spec?

As the former posters already stated, sword specs are the best ones for leveling, and therefore botting. My build is kinda similar to the others and here is a step by step guide on how I would put the points:

    (assa=assassination tree, com=combat tree)

Level 10-11: 2/2 points in Imp. Sinister strike (com)
Level 12-16: 5/5 points in Malice (assa)
Level 17-19: 3/3 points in Ruthlessness (assa)
Level 20-21: 2/3 points in Imp. Eviscerate (assa)
Level 22: 1/1 point in Relentless Strikes (assa)
Level 23: 3/3 point in Imp. Eviscerate (assa)

Comment: At this point you will have a good solid base of nice grinding talents. Combo point and energy regeneration really helps. Also some added dmg, and Imp. SS since it'll be your main skill though the whole game (with swords). After this I'd move on working on the combat tree since the other points in assa will be more useful when you get more dmg.

Level 24-26: 3/3 points in Lightning Reflexes (com)
Level 27-31: 5/5 points in Precision (com)

Comment: Here comes a choice if you prefer situational survivability(more evasions) or more solid sustained survivability (parry+riposte). If you prefer the first, go with choice 1, if not, then go choice 2. These are all very very small differences so I don't really think you would notice any big impact on leveling speed in any of the choices. I think I'd take #2 though, overall I think evasion is too situational. Riposte is a better choice. It's a matter of preferance though.

    Choice 1:
Level 32-33: 2/2 points in Endurance (com)
Level 34-35: 5/5 points in Lightning Reflexes (com)
Level 36: 1/5 points in Deflection (com)

    Choice 2:
Level 32-36: 5/5 points in Deflection (com)

Here comes another choice, either you take Riposte now and then continue with the other talents, or either you skip Riposte for now and go for the other ones directly. I'd prolly skip riposte for now since the 10%+ extra sustained offhand dmg is more suited for grinding than an occational riposte.

Level 37-41: 5/5 points in Dual Wield Specialization (com)
Level 42: 1/1 points in Blade Flurry (com)
Level 43-46: 4/5 points in Sword Specialization (com)
Level 47-49: 3/3 points in Aggression (com)
Level 50: 5/5 points in Sword Specialization (com)
Level 51: 1/2 points in Weapon Expertise (com)
Level 52: 1/1 points in Adrenaline Rush (com)
Level 53-54: 2/2 points in Vitality (com)
Here, if you chose choice #2 but didn't pick Riposte yet, then go back and pick it now:
Level 55: 1/1 points in Riposte (com)
Level 56: 2/2 points in Weapon Expertise (com)
If you chose #1 then go with
Level 55: 2/2 points in Weapon Expertise (com)
Level 56: 2/5 points in Deflection (com)
    Then continue with:
Level 57-61: 5/5 points in Combat Potency (com)
Level 62: 1/1 points in Surprise Attacks (com)

Now the combat tree is finished, so just sum it up some in the Assa tree.

Level 63-67: 5/5 points in Lethality (com)
Level 68-69: 2/2 points in Murder (com)
Level 70 (gratz !): Spare point, but in either Vile poisons or Imp. Poisons. (assa) or maybe Endurance if you chose #2.

At this point you'll have a good combat sword build, viable for grinding, doing instances and even pvping (not 100% perfect pvp build but still not that bad). And all this without a single respec. And with just some minor tweaks it becomes a very powerful raiding spec too (just include imp Slice and Dice instead of dodge or parry for it to work very well).

    The finished builds:
    Choice 1:
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
    Choice 2:
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

These builds might be very similar to those above me but I included the level guide so yeh, that's basically the point with my post.
Comments appreciated. And ask if you wanna know why I choose a talent at a certain level, or why I included that talent there etc etc...

Btw Ayadew, I'm 99% sure that most routines for Openbot (innerspace) have an option for Riposte (if not, i'm 100% that you are able to add it yourself with a bit of coding) and I think Openbot is what KuRIoS uses atm so that will not be a problem for him.

    Hope this helps ya!

    Re: Botting rogue spec?

Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft Using this while Glidering. IMO mace spec. is better than sword spec., dunno why, but I like it more. I'm also a human rogue. If you don't want the daze thingy then you could swap the 2 points to expertise thingy, myself, I like the daze thingy because it slows runners down without me having to use crippling poison.
