Niantic opens up form to report cheaters
Since a little while ago Niantic has opened up a form on it's website on which you can report potential cheaters or as they call it "suspect trainers".
https://support.pokemongo.nianticlab...form_id=319968
If you disregard the state of botting at the moment which is currently mostly on hiatus due to API changes I don't really see this having a big impact on botters as long as precautions are taken. Going out playing with a 35+ account and several high CP Dragonites and similar at the moment is a dead giveaway anyways and I feel this is mostly something they have done to please the crowds.
If and when they try to quell botting they will have to do so with other means than a form on their support pages. This post is merely to inform everyone here that this is now in place and urge you to think a little bit when using the botted accounts so that you do not get them reported.

Considering the email for their refunds page is not moderated and caused a big riot on the googleplay store, I'd reckon that they aren't even going to look at reports here, and like you said, only posted it to please the masses.

They definitely don't have the manpower to handle all reports, there will be more reports for this than there were suggestions for new portals in Ingress and they shut down that over a 3-year backlog or something. I'm thinking they would probably require a limit of at least 15+ reports as well as surely some other checks on a specific trainer before it is even forwarded to someone to manually look at it and possibly hand out a ban. And even then it would build up quickly.

That's why you pick a name that's not easily typable. Mix chinese, korean, japanese characters.
And the form was always open.

Welcome to the year 2016 where there are no tools that can read text of attached screenshots. I'm not saying Niantic will. But they sure can if they want to.

How can you be a "suspect trainer" other than be a level 40 right now?

probably with those 3k 4k dragonites, snorlaxes
but hey, I say if you get reported because you are level 30+ with an army of 100% IV dragonites+snorlaxes, hustling your neighborhood gyms, then so be it
if you have to lay low until everyone else is on par just to be "not suspicious", where's the fun in that?

haha true... I think I made my situation worst when I made my own team and named each nickname similar filling it up with snorlax to piss off the neighborhood gym. I don't really care about getting banned anymore since the whole gym battle needs a rework.

It doesn't matter who take over a gym. The attacking team always have the advantage. 6 pokemon vs 1? Even if your gym is level 10, so long as 6 of their pokemon can kill one of yours, you'll eventually fall over.

That's why I said the whole gym battle needs a rework. Anyone can take over a gym even a prestige lv 10. All they need is a lot of potions and revives and slowly chip away the prestige. It makes it faster if you have a friend to double or triple team the opposing gym.
