    Re: Enchanting Scam

You can disenchant his/he item whil it's in the "Will not be traded" box :-)
= You get money, still have the mats, he gets a sucky shard worth 2g...

    Re: Enchanting Scam

No, what he means is; you say your enchanting sumthing, eg crusader, you get sum1 who wants it, open trade, he puts money in and the item he wants enchanted, and u disenchant it.... he gets the crappy shard and u get the g lol, sounds cool, +rep

Give a newb a hack and he'll leach forever.
Teach a newb to hack and he'll never leach again

    Re: Enchanting Scam

No. Here is what he's trying to say...

Find someone who is willing to buy your leet boe epic item

    A trade window is opened

You have disenchanted the item, but have not looted the reagent yet.

As far as I know (I'll test it out if need be), the DE'ed item will stay in your bags where you are able to drag it to the trade window (as long as you haven't looted the shard).

When the trade is complete, they don't really get an item, but you'd get the gold.

(Now, I don't know that this actually works....honestly, I don't think it does, but it sounds awesome on paper. Again, if need be, I'll test this theory of his out.)

EDIT: Oh, and one more thing....you can't DE something that's in the 'will not be traded' box. This keeps people from being able to DE a soulbound item for a friend who doesn't have the enchanting ability.

    Re: Enchanting Scam

I've been doing this for a while, it's actually much better then you think.

    1) Find a buyer for an item you are able to disenchant.
    2) FILL YOUR INVENTORY COMPLETELY.
    3) Disenchant the item, but to not loot the materials.
    4) Open trade, and place the item in as you normally would.
    5) Accept the trade.

    - At this point you will have the item in your inv, the enchant window open, and the gold.

    6) PRESS ALT-F4

    - Since your bags are full the game will not be able to disenchant the item and the disenchant will be CANCELED.

    - You now have the original item, plus all the gold you were being paid for it.

    - You can also sell the item multiple times! I like to offer it up at a really low price (like 50% of normal) and then have like 10 people offer to buy it. Do steps 1-3 as normal, then repeat 4-5 with each buyer. Finally do step 6 and you end up keeping the item.

I used to do this with level 5 characters on new account, then sell the gold. Since they changed enchanting (bastards) I can't do that anymore. I used to find servers that the gold-seller companies wanted to buy gold on. Make a lvl 5, buy some gold (~1000), scam up 5000g or so in 10-15 minutes, and sell the gold back to the company.

Was making $2000/week with about 20-30 hours invested.

Anyways, enjoy! The better you are at BSing, the longer you can make an account last (They get banned after a few reports, if you can delay people reporting you can do more scams)

EDIT: README - I just retested this, and it does still work, except they seem to have disabled step 6, which means you need to get all your victims in one sitting because you lose the item.

EDIT2: While confirming this still works with a friend we discovered the item NO LONGER shows up in the trade screen, rendering this useless.
