    Pet Scam

We are all used to the regular in game festivals and events that Bliz have introduced to the game, The darkmoon faire, childrens week, harvest festival halloween etc.

Events like this provide plenty of opportunity to scam people.

This is just one idea (untested atm - but i will give it a go today) based on that theme.

Since we have just had halloween and weekly maintenence this should work.

Essentuially it is a cod - blue present as usual - unless someone knows of a pet carrier u can buy ingame that doesnt specifically say what pet is in it.

    Dear SCAMTARGET,

Halloween has passed and thankfully Azeroth has survived the annual invasion from the spirits of evil that hide in the shadows and come out to haunt us each year.

Many battles were fought with these evil spirits and many victories secured.

Unfortunatley, as the alliance Petmaster, I have been innundated with a number of interesting and unusual pets now homeless becasue their spirit masters were driven back to their haunts until next year.

The number of pets in my possession is too great for us to stable and I now ask for your help in rehousing one unusual pet.

Please accept this halloween pet into your possession and look after it well.

Your small contribution of 1 gold will help us rehome many more pets.

    Farewell.

This scam can be altered in a week or so after halloween, to simply refer to pets needing homes and be sent (apparently) from the Aserothian Society for the Protection of Pets ! )

For those in the UK, we celebrate bonfire night every year on the 5th november - and this migh provide an opportunity to off - Fire Infernals as pets to our "customers".

    Re: Pet Scam

Maybe another one, specified for warlocks?

"As the end of Hallows Eve draws near, evil is summoned all over Azeroth.
Demons, everywhere. As your power is getting bigger, you might be able to learn to summon such one.

If this is in your interest, reply to me with 1g."

This could be done better, i made this in 30sec. :-)

    Re: Pet Scam

Hmmm... is this bannable because its considered "Impostering"?
I'm sure if you altered it a little, you could easily make it 100% legal (kinda like a charity service).
I dread to think of how effective this will be come christmas time!
