Ollydbg - Safe?

Is the usage of Ollydbg safe, or should I fire up an VM with VPN and Fakeaccount?
I just want to look a little inside code and see if it's possible to grab the Minimap-Data.

Ollydbg is done offline, you are just inspecting .exe offline??
Its safe, since there is not internet connection established.

I want to use it at runtime since i want a few resources already loaded to get an idea where i have to start searching.

pretty sure but not positive that debuggers are detected, tho they dont do checks always and they might not do anything but flag the account for if something else comes up that they want to ban for multiple "small offences" -- i would think they are trying to be mroe careful and grab people that they are positive have done something wrong, like writing/altering the game code...
