Buying a new pc/laptop in australia

    Hello ownedcor !

I just moved to australia recently and im looking to buy a pc or a notebook...

    some things to consider:

-my budget for this ranges up to 1500aud (i can sacrifice a little extra for value if its real)
    - laptop vs desktop wise, i have to bring it back to brazil in one year when im going back...
-i live in melbourne i have access to a lot of dif. Stores but i have no problem with waiting for a delivery if thats necessary
-i really wanted it to last a few years ! I mainly play wow, dota2, ffxiv on a regular basis and test most of the new releases !

Any aussies out there or just people that live here willing to help ?

    EDIT: preparing for black desert

pccasegear.com is probly your best bet for a pre-build machine but it would also be cheaper to buy all the parts and assemble them yourself. You wont get a very good Laptop for that kind of $ in Australia though. We get ripped off in Aus when buying electronics.

    Best of Luck

How much would a good laptop cost me and how "good" does it looks like hardware wise... ?

Look into PCCaseGear or lower end MSI laptops from the MSI website, they will still run decent but with laptops they get outdated too quickly.
I can put together a list of parts for you to order and put together if need be.
Or you could look at MWave, they build systems for the customer for a price and from past experience, they are pretty good.

Well said. Bought a high end laptop a few years ago - only lasted one year.

Laptops are just not for gaming, even if you buy the best laptop right now, it'll last a year at the most.

Do you think that i5 would cut it or is it worth to spend a bit more for a good i7 to go with that setup?
