Rotation Bots

New to Forums and botting in general. Not really sure what I should be looking for / searching for on the forums.
Looking for a list and short description of bots you can use for PVE DPS rotations.
Links to forum posts would be nice too.

As a thought before I delve in there, do you know of anyone that has looked into setting up a program to emulate the old built macro style of '1-button' raiding, as opposed to 'botting' your rotation?
I'd feel much more "secure' (for lack of a better word) having a program send a (a set of) variable commands (dependent on circumstances) to wow for each time I press a button as opposed to just automatically sending them continuously.

Imho "1-button-multiple action" is less secure then classic injecting

I have little coding experience when it comes to wow related bot software. The closest I've come is AutoIT scripts for D3.

My thought is more along the lines of pressing a button, say "E" key, which will cause the program to check a set of variables, and then send a single action (preferably a keystroke) to WoW.

I'm assuming ProbablyEngine would be the Program that contains the logic and the code to produce the corresponding keystroke, but I'm not really sure what or how you would gather the required information from wow (such as stacks of a buff, spell on CD, etc...) safely.

*edit* I am just starting to read about PE and its capability, but it still looks like it sends continuous commands based on profiles as a means of 'rotation'.

if you want a 'safe' way to 1 button your rotation check out an addon called gnome seqeuencer. then check a forum called lazywowmacros for the rotations.


Your DPS will be shit compared to a bot that checks for things when it does dps, but its a lazy 1button safe macro.

I'm assuming that if a bot (program) can create a sequence of continual keystrokes (not sure how PE sends the commands to cast spells/ do actions in wow) based on a set of parameters/logic, then it should also be able to do it every time you press a button (as opposed to just being toggled on/off).

Again, I know very little and I'm just looking for direction as I delve into this stuff, so thank you for the suggestions.

*edit* If it's the difference between 30K dps and 25K, I'm fine w/ that.

you can use soapbox rotations they have a 1 week trial for classes and specs.

otherwise my personal preference i use for monk and pally is a paid CR from tuanAH using honorbuddy.they also have a pvp mode as well and very easy to customize.

this is also coming from a rank 2 guild on server and world 33rd the CR's he does for melee so far are spot on but i dont use any for casters as i can play them perfectly fine.

I'll look into that. Not even sure what I'm really looking for TBH. But if Soapbox can basically emulate 1-button macro raiding from back in the day, then I'll be sure to try it out!

well if your using honorbuddy and a paid CR, its pretty much safe as anything been using it with my monk since start of MoP.

Is Soapbox good for 2's/ PVP aspects too?

it can be used but not the best since the UI doesnt allow you to customize many spell's since its mainly for pve.

Hey jimmyamd, I've read through PE, HB, and the other 'bots' that have been suggested so far and none really do what I am looking for. (probably because they are bots)

Like, if a PE could be wrapped in a conditional trigger (so if you press a designated button, it runs the profile), that would be more of what I'm looking for.
I just want to be able to press 1 button and have a a script choose which spell is appropriate (from a set of conditionals I set up) and then send a corresponding keystroke back to wow.

Sorry wasn't around in BC.

But with honorbuddy using a paid CR with the enyo botbase it's pretty much what u say.

It will distinguish what spell/buff/debuff to refresh on the target.
It will cast spells on the move if you are moving.
When it casts an ability it sends a key command to wow.
The rotstion can be toggled on and off with a key bind and it will still pick next best ability to use even mid fight or under any conditions as it's not a set script it follows.
