What is the fastest Farming Class and build?

Quite new to the game, would like some help

Any non-melee class with good gear should be good. The main reason is desync, which makes physical dmg inferior. There are plenty of info on the official forum.

Farming Instances, I usually go for Feral Druids since they can run fast and do quite good dmg, However, for AOE'ing mobs, Probably Hunter, Warlock or balance druid.

After 3 years of this game, beta/the awakening has changed everything. Right now there is not only one "the fastest", but couple of them. If you're playing softcore my suggestion is(as i tested it) to play ice crash (6L) for clearing and cyclone (4L) for stronger bosses. Leap for movement is very fast even tho they nerfed the jump range but it's still strong. Devoto's Devotion will help you even more and it's not that expensive and together with Art of the Gladiator passive you should be flying. Hope this will help you a bit.

Rangers have the fastest clearspeed in poe now.
it is probably also the least expensive charecter to build - what you need is a 6link chest and a rats nest and you are good to go.
