Has anyone had purchased gold or items bought with that gold taken away as per the recent warnings from trion?

ArcheAge/Trion states that any gold bought that has been bought from 3rd party websites have been taken away. Suggest you ask for a refund.

There's a guy on the forum who says he had gold removed after he sold a Kraken drop on the AH. If Trion's fix to the gold farming issue is to just remove that gold from the economy, they're going to have an even bigger problem on their hands when they start taking money away from legit players who sold Thunderstrucks and land to people who bought gold.

I've sold over 20k gold on my server and neither myself or any of my buyers have had gold removed.

I have not had any gold removed. The only thing I ever did was purchase gold (um like 200 I believe) a few weeks ago.
If they *are* removing gold it is probably purchases made from the accounts they banned today and yesterday...would be my guess

It looks like it was only gold sellers that were farming with ArcheBuddy that got hit.

I bought a couple thousand gold up through last week which I used to buy a couple of pieces of land and some tax certs. I'm not worried about being banned since I've never used any bots, macros, or auto clickers, but I'm out of town and can't get into the game to check on things until the weekend so I'm a little bit curious to see what I'll find when I get back.

Nah, it seems they only tracked some of the most intrusive gold sellers. So the ones that have sold more than 1,000,000 gold were tracked.

Talked to a buddy of mine on Ollo whom has personally sold 40k+ and he's not had any requests for a refund OR lost any of his stock spread across 10 accounts.

Out of curiosity I went and looked at the recent reviews of the seller I typically use on Playerauctions, and I saw a couple of negs for gold that was confiscated by GMs.

So yeah, they're definitely taking it. There's just no way of knowing how often and from whom.

The better question now is whether or not they are taking away items you purchased with the bought gold. I could spend it fast on apex or whatever before they could take it but id be worried about losing what i purchased

Yep. What I've started doing is looking for accounts to purchase that have land or other resources I can quickly liquidate. I've dropped a few hundred dollars at Playerauctions on accounts that have had enough land to earn me an easy 8000g in the past four days. It's not as fast and painless as just buying gold, but it gives roughly the same gold:$$ ratio without worrying about it being confiscated.

That being said, I'm holding off now until at least the Auroria release to see what the market does. Land prices in all but the hottest zones seem to be in stagnation if not outright inflation, so it's a risky market to speculate in right now.
