So what are they unable to detect?

Like if I wanted to do pvp pet battles for achievements, all I really need to do is press some keys and search for a battle again.
I imagine I could just pre-record me spamming one attack for a while and attempt to requeue with a simple macro program. Is something like that detectable from a warden? Do they check things like if the mouse is clicked at the same exact pixel location and time intervals? I do think there are macros to make that vary though, that would be pretty much safe then I imagine..
