Can I see who I opened a chat with?

Figured this was the best place to ask.

I was scammed out of an account but was speaking with the user on his alternate account just before he changed the information.

Is there a log file that would store that playername?

These ads disappear when you log in.

Wildstar has an option to enable logging chat to a file but it's disabled by default. You can find them at <my documents>/NCSOFT/WildStar/ChatLogs
