Seeing as to I saw another useless thread containing the question, "how do i put music into wow" I decided to tell you all how to do it. I've been doing this for a while, I don't know if it's new or not, but it's certainly convenient because you don't need to minimize WoW or run any other programs which could slow your comp's performance. This allows you to play your music with the WoW program itself, no winamp or any mp3 player required. Read below and you'll see why I put this into the Model Editing Section.
Step 1
Open up My Warcraft Studio, and click "Create MPQ Archive"
Step 2
Name it "patch-9" or something else that isn't taken. Place this in your WoW "Data" folder, along with the other patches.
Step 3
Once created, click "Add File to Archive"
Step 4
Find the music file you wish to put in WoW, in this example, it's "Furious Angels", the instrumental version.
Step 5
Set the treepath to Sound\Music\ZoneMusic and name the file something simple with no spaces, in this case "furiousangels"
Step 6
Check to see if the file is in there, then hit "Save"
So, how do you play the music? With a macro command!
/script PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Music\\ZoneMusic\\furiousangels")
That command should play the song I just stuffed inside the MPQ. Rename "furiousangels" to whatever you named the file in Step 5, and you should be good to go.
