Ok I know NCDB Milestone 0.1 seems to have a few MAJOR problems so I will post the SVN source that has Daily updates with over 10 fixes a day.
Next-Chapter Subversion Information
In-case you want to keep your database up-to-date, with the newest revision, you can simply checkout our last sources from here:
svn://emupedia.com/svn/ncdb
To perform the checkout, You'll need a SVN Client, I will recommend RapidSVN:Part 1 - Checkout Guide
A. To perform the checkout, You'll need a SVN Client, I recommended RapidSVN, but we will use RapidSVN Because I'm using it ^_^.
B. After we downloaded & installed our SVN client, Let's open the program by clicking on his shortcut, we would see something like that:
1. Simply Click CTRL+O, or click through the menu Repository --> Checkout...Now You'll have to fill in the text boxes.
2. In URL Type:
svn://emupedia.com/svn/ncdb
3. In Destination Directory Type:
/your/path/to/ncdb/
ex. /Ascent1132/NCDB/
4. Then click OK, and It'll start to checkout.
Part 2 - Import
After we finished to checkout, and we have all the files, we will just need to run the import file, to have a fully working database.
Before we will start import everything you'll need to define database settings for the imports.
1. Open the folder "Releases".
Next Just look for a file named "Character" and Execute it your Character Database you made.
2. Open the file "Import_World.bat" with TEXT EDITOR(notepad) this file is located in the "Development" Folder.
Search for:
Code:
set user=root
set pass=
set db=ascent_world
set server=localhost
set user - write login user for your database.
set pass - write the login-password for your database.
set db - write the WORLD Database name.
ser server - insert your server location(localhost, IP, such).
A. run the file "character"ONLY IF IT'S YOUR FIRST TIME.
If you run this on your existing server all your accounts and their character will be removed!
B. run the file "Import_World.bat"(This one can be safely used).
Run this batch file every time you do a new checkout.
Cheers and Good luck,
Next-Chapter Project!
