how safe is it to buy gil?

so i've been looking at buying some GIL, but from my understanding SE is actually pretty strict on gil buying. i was wondering if any of you bought gil/ if there have been any bans for it?

what i mean more along the lines of, in wow they tolerate gold buying, i've bought and sold millions of wow gold and they keep sending me the "your a bad person and you should feel bad" letter ingame but never take account action. but does SE straight up ban buyers. i know they ban sellers pretty quickly.

They actually send you an ingame letter telling you that you suck for selling gold? That's incredible

On topic, I've bought and sold a decent amount of gil and haven't had any bad luck with it.

I'm pretty sure they just don't have the systems in place to deal with it / monitor it as long as you're smart about it and i'm pretty sure that they have their hands full with the server problems right now

yep. its just says something along the lines of "most gold comes from hacked accounts and your a big bad meany face for buying it". also they let you keep the gold. lolblizzard

According to my friend who owns mogs, he says they are getting 50+ orders a day and no complaints of bans at this time. It could change later down the line, but for now, go for it. BTW... he also has keys for sale.

It's safe for everyone right now...I seriously doubt there is much risk...they banned 500 some accounts for the gold spam. But seriously 2 days ago I saw a guy teleport mining and I mean it was super obvious. He was at 39 in level 40 nodes I sent in a report as did 2 other people who saw him. Well guess what..he's still online as of right now and he's at 50 mining still teleporting to each node. His actual character is only 27!

I bought 200k from pvpbank last week, no ban or anything.

Bought 200k from mmokings/ownedcore, been fine.
Just don't use really dodgy sites, use good known sellers.

its as safe as it is in any mmo, Square doesn't ban per incident their action team stores up alot of accounts before they strike so they can boast big numbers on their webpage. So even if you have bought and are safe this week doesn't mean you will be next or the week after. But at the same time you may be just fine its a risk you take.
