What way do you make your gold botting?

Personally I farm WotLK ore seeing as it goes for a handful on the Auction House, cobalt & saronite are required for JC/BS/Eng you cant skip them and stacks of bars go for about 180g on my realm. I pull 7k easily while I am sleeping with all auctions selling the next day. I'll change up with GIO/EBC & pull the same.. with only one bot.

What do you do?

I would farm ores. Like you. But i would just do that with MoP ores and then prospect for a full profit with my guide :P

I just bot MoP herbs/ore, yes LK/Bc are more expensive, but not as commonly bought, 100 gold iron ore stacks go within the hour

I used to bot like 6 90's doing fishing the first month of MoP launch and i would shuffle the fish into soy sauce and sell which went for like 500g each i could rack in like 8k a night per bot

Although this is not the right forum section, my answer on how I bot :-)

My botting-goal is to provide my main with enough gold to buy cool stuff from BMAH / AH (mounts/pets/gear), in the safest way possible. So I don't sell the gold for real money.

My account-setup: I got one main account on which I do not bot and have never botted on. And I have one botting account. My main account has a guild+bank and my botting account has one character in that guild. All gold earned on the botting account, goes into the bank.

My starting point in security: I only bot a maximum of two hours a day, and i'm doing that while studying when I'm sitting next to my computer. So in total I bot only 14 hours a week. There's basically three things I bot
- Farm instances --> Guaranteed income --> I do this 2 times (4 hours) a week giving about 1000 gold in total
- Farm pets --> Variable income --> I do this 2 times(4 hours) a weeking giving 1 pet on average which sells between 2000 ~ 5000 gold. I always check AH first to check which pets are NOT available to get me buyers more quickly.
- Farm 999 dino-isle bones for Spectral Porcupette pet (going good for now)--> Variable income --> I do this 1 time(2 hours) a week, i get 1000 bones in approx. 2 hours. Selling between 3000 ~ 5000 gold. I'm doing this since the new island was introduced, before then I also farmed instances
- Do dailies --> Guaranteed income --> I do this 2 times (4 hours) a week giving about 1000 gold in total

So currently every week I make at least 2000 gold, get 1 rare pet, get 1 spectral pocupette pet. Most of the time the pets sell for a total of 5k. So 7k is the average weekly (about 500gold an hour)

I was botting Ghost iron ore every night for usually 6 hours, when last patch hit. In the first 3 weeks I would make 8k a night farm around 100 stacks and selling for 80g a stack at the time, but the ore prices have literally halved, so I really can't wait for new patch so get the gold rolling again.

I do it in Honorbuddy bot, they have botprofiles on their forums. On average they give about 250 gold an hour. Sometimes more, sometimes less... yesterday i had 700 gold in 2 hours, thats a good day... Pure gold, no AH. Be sure to do this only a couple of hours a week for security...

I do not bot anymore - but I'm abusing botters with missconfigured auctionhouse addons. No chance to getting banned and I earn much more ores and herbs than I bot by myself!
