/facepalm this entire thread... I have used windows all my life and never had any problems with it. My friend has a mac and he says he has never had any problems with it. It's just the same old bickering over something that hardly matters...

Macs are good unless your a computer gamer, but then you would just load boot camp and run windows on your mac. The real reason windows is so popular is becuase bill gates is a marketing genius, making pretty much a monopoly over the operating system field, then eventually with help from the iPod apple was saved and is making its comeback. Sure windows has more compatibility with programs, but a huge porton of those are chock full of malicious code, sure if your smart you wont ever get viruses on your PC but Id rather surf and go to pages without having to think about it at all. And in general macs are just so much nicer to use, If im ever on a friends or familys PC I usually get a headache from the shitty icons and the overall feel of windows.
But overall an intel mac with windows installed on a partion af the hard drive is win.
And if your a serious gamer then custom build a PC with really good hardware.
