[PQR] Mage pet coding question

Hello master coders out there!

I am looking for some help with editing a setting within PQR. Specifically, on my mage, the profile I am using will summon a water elemental if it doesn't exist. At first it was dismounting me every time I mounted, because it wanted to summon a new one. I fixed that issue and now am wanting to add some logic to the water elemental described below.

Water elemental's current logic
if UnitExists("pet") == nil
and not UnitIsDead("pet")
and not IsMounted("player") then
return true
end

So what I want it to do is to wait after dismount to check for water elemental
if "no pet" wait x seconds and recheck for pet...

No clue how to get this logic to work and am hoping one of you have found a way to stop it from summoning a new elemental every single time you dismount a flying mount.
