Party drop rates question?

For the increased drop rates to work when running a party do all players need to stay close to each other (like with auras) or do they just need to be in the same area at the same time for it to work? So for example if I dual box and have the alt accounts stay at the start of the map while my main char goes off to kill everything (so there in same area but not close together) or would I not get any bonuses like that?

They changed it such that you have to be within a screen and half or so of the killing blow. It also matters if you engage the boss with people outside that range as well.

You've basically gotta stay close together now.
