How to get people into your Private server.

hey there, i know that i takes time for poeple to notice your server,,
but is there a way that people would see it faster or anything ?

i've looked up 3 - 5 Advertise site's and im thinking there must be a better ( faster ) way to get people in?

Buy gold/premium on various top sites, post on different emu forums.

Sometimes thats what you have to do in order to get something running. There's always a chance that it wont work.

well, then i must just wait till people see my advertise on forums .. i dont find it usefull to pay top sites.

I found that the xtremetop100 was the only website that had legitimate "in" counters. So that has the largest audience to target.

Buy a banner on xtremetop100 and you will get thousands of clicks a month. If you have a website that is easy to navigate and use, then a good percentage of those clicks will be players and will register.

A smaller percentage of those who registered will actually attempt to login.

A lot of players will quit instantly due to a small player base.

It is not easy to establish yourself in the emulator server market, but once you have a solid active player base, it is easy to expand and grow.

But you do need to invest to get a return. Personally I brute force my way into the WoW market by having my Minecraft server (100+ players peak) vote constantly for my WoW server which sent me up to the top 10 servers on xtremetop100. I then had 50+ online active and could thus attract more people in on niche markets. No plan is a solid perfect way in. Use what you have to your advantage.

Posting on forums and advertising on other servers will get you no players. You have to invest to make a decent return. You can't just run on eventual donations.

I post my private server on my local craigslist. State in your ad what your server is all about. What are you planning to do to the server. Why would people want to join your server. Post screen shots of your private server. Ask people that want to join your server to email you with the User Name and Password that they want to use and set up their account. Email them back and let them know that their account is ready. I post in my title "Now you can play WoW for FREE !" I have almost 1,000 players in less then 2 months.
